This is an IN-PERSON CLASS.
The bandsaw box is a fun project that introduces students to the properties of wood, and to one of the most versatile woodworking machines: the bandsaw.
Students will begin with a solid block of wood, cut it apart on the bandsaw, and glue it back together to create a small lidded box, but this process will also involve designing, shaping with hand tools (and on the bandsaw,) and finishing and surface decoration.
By the end of this course, students will walk away with a finished box that's as fun and sculptural as it is functional.
Class Schedule:
Saturday March 07: 11am-5pm
All skill levels welcome. No prerequisites.
WOO is a non-profit safe space for training underrepresented genders in our field. As such, enrollment is limited to non-binary, trans, and woman-identifying folks over the age of 18.
All class times are in U.S. Eastern Time.
